Somewhere Sounds is an ongoing collection of free sample packs for Ableton Live users. Curated by artists and producers operating across a range of genres, Somewhere Sounds (formally Sydney Sounds) aims to become the largest collection of audio representing the passions that a diverse range of artists thrive on.  Hailing from Lismore, rapper and producer Mr Rhodes made a move down to Sydney in early 2022. He shares a bond with his cousin over wrestling and he used this as inspiration for his free Somewhere Sounds sample pack.  When Mr Rhodes signed up for Somewhere Sounds, his passion for wrestling and sound sampling collided as he found a gym in Forest Lodge, Sydney, called Padded Gloves. Inside was a full-sized ring, boxing bags, slam balls, and skipping ropes. His imagination ran wild with percussion samples from body slamming, hitting boxing bags, sounds from the ring, and Mr Rhodes even found a few unsuspecting sounds in skipping ropes and the chains that suspend items from the gym's ceiling. Trevor Woolley owns a 140-hectare property next to Wollomi National Park in Martindale Valley. He's part of the Local Land Services Forest Stewardship Pilot, managing a dense forest left from past harvesting. His main goal is to improve its health by thinning regrowth. New Zealand band L.A.B recently visited the Live from Happy studios. The band brought their bona fide hit track In The Air. It's a slinky, retro-funk classic that's tinged with the band's signature reggae style. While recently on tour in Australia, Joel Shadbolt and Miharo Gregory from the band swung by the Live From Happy studio to perform In the Air — an 8 x Platinum RMNZ and Aria Gold single from their third album, L.A.B III (released in 2019). Even stripped back to Joel and Miharo, it was easy to hear why In The Air became an anthem. While Joel tastefully played his nylon string guitar and sang soulfully through the track, Miharo provided a strong piano foundation with the occasional awe-inspiring flourish. Here's what Joel had to say about In The Air before taking to the stage: "The song is about young love and all the good things in life. It's a really nostalgic jam that has a '70s vibe to it."
